must try harder

Well, the day job is gone at last, and i've hurled myself out into the world of freelancing. This should in theory, give me a lot more time to write. At the moment it seems to be giving me a lot more time than I anticipated. fingers crossed that that's only first night nerves, but at least the freezer's full.

And it has helped the writing, currently at cruising altitude of 4000 words per day (wpd), and the story is growing in the way a good dtory does, with characters taking their lives into their own hands, and me just being the scribe. suddenly my life is full of people, and i don't even have to leave the house (saves on petrol and booze).

but I must blog a bit more. it'll give me something to look back on when I'm published, and want to reminisce about life as a struggling writer.
