big fat fantasy in progress

Hell, I'd blog more often if it didn't take me 10 minutes to log into the site.

So, the novel is pushing 150 000 words, but there's a heart-sinking amount of rewriting to do. I think I've got enough material now to complete book 2; book 3 is still a bit sketchy, but I think allowing myself more time for narrative, especially the description, myths and so on that everyone seems so keen on will shove quite a lot of stuff from book 2 to book 3 anyway. A late invention of another thread to add to the complexity has thrown the writing of book 2 a little. I'll have to get on and kill off a few characters because it's getting a bit crowded in there.
